About the workshop

❋ How it looks

This is a two-hour menstrual cycle workshop that weaves together education and practical tools. We explore the foundations of the menstrual cycle, how hormones work, and simple ways to support the body. The intention is to give teens clear, science-based knowledge they can carry with them as they grow — helping to build self-trust in their bodies and cycle over time.

❋ Who it's for

This workshop is for teen girls who want to understand their menstrual cycle and how it works. It is for those approaching their first period, or who have already begun menstruating. All of the content shared aims to help girls understand their body better. No prior knowledge is required.

❋ Facilitated by Casey

These workshops are facilitated by Casey, a women’s health herbal educator with studies in menstrual cycle education and body literacy. Her work centres on helping girls and women develop a sense of self-understanding when it comes to their bodies and cycle. Shifting what has once been a taboo topic, into something that women understand and value.

❋ A Supportive Space

The workshop is held in a small, supportive group space. Education is balanced with conversation and option for Q&A.

❋ What teens will take with them
  • A grounded understanding of how the menstrual cycle work

  • Understanding of what’s normal, and when to seek support

  • Simple, practical ways to support their cycle and hormones

  • Increased body literacy and awareness

  • Tools to track and understand their menstrual cycle

  • Understanding how sleep, food, and stress can affect the menstrual cycle.

❋ For Parents and Carers

These workshops are offered with a deep understanding of how important this stage of life is. They provide clear education, rooted in both science and traditional women’s health foundations, to help teens understand their bodies and menstrual cycles. *Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Women experience around 450 menstrual cycles across their lifetime, yet many are never taught how their cycle works.

About Casey

Hey, I’m Casey! When I first learned how my own menstrual cycle works, I realised just how much it affects every area of life — from my mental and emotional health to my physical wellbeing. Everything started to make sense when I first began changing the way I lived to support my cycle. I remember thinking how different things could have been if I’d learned this as a teenager — and that’s the space these workshops were created from.

As a teen, I struggled with my cycle, often feeling disconnected from my body. I wanted to change that conversation for younger girls — to one of empowerment and self-understanding. I believe this kind of knowledge flows into every aspect of life, influencing everything from autonomy, self-acceptance, respect, and a sense of personal value.

I truly believe it is every woman’s right to understand her body, and to know how to support and nourish herself.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Workshops are held in schools, community spaces and private settings. Dates and locations vary — please reach out to enquire about upcoming sessions or to host a workshop.

  • Pricing varies by workshop type. Open workshops are priced per participant, and school / group bookings are quoted individually

  • As someone who was once a nervous teen, I totally get how this feels! Which is why I’ve designed these workshops to feel both inclusive and gentle. It’s a space to learn about the menstrual cycle, and only participate in discussion or Q&A if they feel comfortable. There is usually some sort of activity to ease nerves and create a space of receptivity - such as beading bracelets or necklaces.

  • Depending on the workshop setting, a drink bottle and a journal or notebook to write in can be helpful. Any specific details will be shared once a workshop date is set or a booking is confirmed.
